Position: President, International Triathlon Union; Member, International Olympic Committee
Marisol Casado is President and founding member of the International Triathlon Union.
As a Member of the International Olympic Committee, she is currently on the following Commissions: Coordination for the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad in Paris 2024; Coordination for the Games of the XXXIV Olympiad Los Angeles 2028; Women and Sport; Olympic Solidarity and Public Affairs; and Social Development through Sport.
Marisol is a Council Member of both ASOIF and GAISF
She is also a Member, and Recipient of the Olympic Order, of the Spanish National Olympic Committee. She received the Gold Medal of the “Real Orden del Mérito Deportivo” – the highest distinction awarded for services to sport in Spain.
She is a founding member of the Spanish Triathlon Federation, European Triathlon Association, Iberoamerican Triathlon Association and the Mediterranean Triathlon Federation.
Marisol competed in the first triathlon in Spain and won the race. She has a degree in Philosophy and Hispanic Language and an MBA in Sport Management.
