Position: Director, Festivals Edinburgh

Lori Anderson is the Director of Festivals Edinburgh, the high-level organisation created in 2007 to represent Edinburgh’s 11 major international festivals to lead on their joint strategic development and sustain their leadership role locally and globally. Lori represents the Edinburgh Festival’s collective on the Event Industry Advisory Group, National Partnership for Scotland’s Arts Festivals and is a member of Edinburgh’s Visitor Levy Forum.  Lori was previously Director of Culture Counts the network of Scotland’s arts, heritage and creative industries organisations which provides a collective voice for Scotland’s culture sector. Lori has worked in the culture and heritage sector for over 25 years with previous roles at Scotland + Venice, Creative Dundee and the contemporary visual arts space Collective, on Calton Hill. Other past roles include positions at Museums Galleries Scotland and the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Lori has a degree in Scottish History from the University of St Andrews. She is on the board of Fife Contemporary and is a past vice chair of Scottish Contemporary Art Network (SCAN).
