Position: Founder, The Craig Company LLC
After an early career with Nestle and in advertising Craig moved to sport in 1983 when he joined senior management at ISL Marketing. Included in Craig’s responsibilities was ISL’s successful development of the IOC’s much-acclaimed global marketing program.
In 1994 Craig was appointed CEO of Championship Auto Racing Teams; owner of the IndyCar World Series. During six years Craig quadrupled revenues with superior profitability. In 1998 Craig executed an IPO for the company on the New York Stock Exchange and was appointed Chairman of the Board.
In 2001 Craig formed The Craig Company LLC.
He has served as an advisor on four winning Olympic bids (Vancouver 2010, London 2012, Sochi 2014 and Paris 2024). He advised the International Golf Federation on its campaign to become an Olympic Sport and United World Wrestling on its campaign for reinstatement on the Olympic program.
On behalf of the European Olympic Committees Craig developed the European Games launched in 2015 in Baku. He currently serves on the EOC Coordination Commission for the 2019 European Games in Minsk.
In motor sport Craig is Permanent Representative in North America for the FIA World Endurance Championship. He advised the Sports Ministry of Azerbaijan on negotiations for a Formula One race. He is Vice President of the FIA Touring Car Commission and a Member of the FIA Endurance Racing Commission
