Stefano Manelli

Transport Engineer at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL), expert in mobility and transport operations related to Mega Events, with 20 years’ experience. Director at Citec, he is in charge of all projects related to events’ transport planning and management for the Company and lecturer at HES-SO HEPIA Geneva, AISTS SEMOS Lausanne, Politecnico di Torino, IUAV, etc. 

After transport preparation of Torino 2006 Winter Olympic Games, Stefano was involved on multiple Mega Event as an advisor, consultant and/or manager. As IOC Transport Advisor between 2012 and 2015 (Sochi 2014, Pyeongchang 2018) he was part of the IOC Evaluation Commissions 2020 and 2022. He is now leading Citec’s planning team for Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games transport, as transport expert for the Organising Committee and is Head of Transport for Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. As transport and mobility planning and operations manager he operated on multiple events, such as UEFA Euro 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020, UEFA Champions League Finals in Milano 2016, Kyiv 2018 and Madrid 2019, FIFA World Cup 2018, Ryder Cup Paris 2018 and Rome 2022, among others.
